It's a winter wonderland outside! That's pretty rare in NC.
No calorie counting for me today. I want to do a day without and see how I feel just paying attention to my body. (Ideally I'd rather not use one, but I think it's interesting to see the details about what I'm eating in terms of nutrition.)
I've noticed now full I am and how I don't want as much as I portion out for myself. The funny thing is, I don't think I'm portioning out a lot! Maybe I'm more nourished because I'm focusing on healthy foods and I don't need as much. I'm not sure what's going on.
Food so far:
Breakfast:
oatmeal with rice milk, banana, peanut butter, cinnamon, maple syrup drizzle (I ate it all but I probably could have stopped at 2/3)
coffee with fat free half and half
a few strawberries and raspberries (wasn't hungry for them)
Lunch:
stirfried green peppers, carrots, cremini mushrooms, chick peas, and baby spinach with rice noodles, sesame oil, teriyaki sauce and chili pepper (LOVE rice noodles!)
1/2 container chobani with a handful of ezekiel cereal, rest of the berries from breakfast, honey drizzle
note* I only ate about 2/3 of the stirfry that I made. It was so hard to stop eating. I felt like I made it and it's good for me so I should eat it.
Snack before gym:
half chocolate chip clif bar
Snack after gym:
leftover lunch stirfry
Dinner:
baked parmesan boneless chicken (1/2 breast)
whole grain (rice-a-roni) mix with a sprinkle of parmesan
baby romaine and spinach salad with carrots, tomatoes, peppers, olives and lite italian dressing and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese
3 glasses of water (I guess I was thirsty!)
hot cocoa for dessert
Snack before bed:
small piece multigrain bread with natural peanut butter
Activity:
25 min morning flow yoga
~3.5 miles run/walk and 20 min on bike
